When salt air causes a breakdown
If you live a few streets from the beach in Cottesloe, Swanbourne, City Beach or Mosman Park, the sea breeze leaves salt on your outdoor unit. Over time it corrodes electrical connections, circuit boards and the thin aluminium fins of the coil. Sooner or later that shows up as a fault: the system trips, shows an error code or stops cooling altogether.
Our technicians test the electrical side, the boards, the fan motor and the refrigerant circuit to find what has actually failed, then quote the repair before any work starts. If another corroded part is close to giving out, we’ll tell you while we’re there.

Air conditioner cleaningController upgrades
An older ducted system with a tired wall controller can get zoning and app control with AirTouch 5, without replacing the unit.
AirTouch 5 upgradesOffices, shops and schools
Commercial systems in Subiaco, Claremont and Nedlands, including VRV and VRF plant, serviced and repaired with as little disruption as we can manage.
Commercial air conditioningGetting more from an older ducted system
If your home in Nedlands, Dalkeith, Claremont or Floreat has a ducted system that has been there for years, it may still have plenty of life in it. What it usually needs is what any older system needs: clean filters and coils, a check of the gas and the electrical side, and a controller that lets you heat or cool only the rooms you use.
If the controller is the weak point, an AirTouch 5 upgrade keeps your existing unit and changes only the controls. If something has failed, we diagnose it first and quote the repair, so you can decide what to do with the facts in front of you.
Questions from the western suburbs
The things people in this part of Perth ask us most. If yours isn’t here, add it to your booking.
Which western suburbs do you cover?
All of them from Wembley, Floreat and City Beach down to Mosman Park, including Subiaco, Nedlands, Dalkeith, Claremont, Cottesloe, Swanbourne and Peppermint Grove. The full list is above. If your suburb is close by but not on it, send us a message and we’ll let you know.
How often should an air conditioner near the beach be serviced?
Once a year is the minimum for most systems. Close to the water, salt builds up on the outdoor coil faster, so a deep clean every six months is worth it. It keeps the system cooling properly and slows corrosion of the coil and fins.
Can you upgrade the controls on an older ducted system?
Usually, yes. AirTouch 5 replaces the wall controller and keeps your existing ducted unit. Send us your system details and we’ll check it’s compatible before we quote.
Do you work on commercial sites in the western suburbs?
Yes. We service and repair systems in offices, shops, medical suites and schools, including VRV and VRF systems. We can also audit every unit on a site so you can plan replacements ahead of time.
